Victoria Park Town Centre Place Plan

Client: Town of Victoria Park / Hawaiian

The project involved town centre design, revitalisation and place making that was more than just floor space, but a careful consideration of a variety of destinations, attractions and activities that work together to attract vibrancy, interest and investment.  Realistic concepts and ideas were supported by strategies for the implementation of the vision..

This project was about creating a town centre that reflected the character of the place and its community. Our process was informed by an understanding of the place, the project and the key stakeholders, gained through a rigorous consultation programme to deliver a plan that responded to the character of Victoria Park as well as considering the function, role and use of each place from a design and programming perspective.

The scale of development is critical to the success of this project.  Whilst the project is not yet at a stage that detailed design guidelines have been prepared, we have undertaken detailed studies on the height and scale of development, which has provided a basis for determining project feasibility and land rationalisation potential.
