South Hedland Town Centre

Client:  Department of Housing

TPG worked with the Department of Housing to develop a proactive vision for the development of 170 hectares of its significant land holdings in South Hedland in line with the vision identified in the Town of Port Hedland's Pilbara City Growth Plan.

The Concept Plan provided for a cohesive vision for the development of genuine, high-amenity neighbourhoods that are connected by a clear urban structure based on a legible road hierarchy with a variety of open space types distributed throughout the development. The integrated outcome provides a connected urban fabric with appropriate opportunities for density and place-making which sets the stage for the sustainable development of significant additions to the South Hedland community including approximately 2000 new dwellings.
