Maylands Activity Centre
Urban Design Framework

Client: Department of Planning

TPG was commissioned to prepare an urban design framework for the Maylands Activity Centre. This involved identifying the character of the town centre and developing policies and strategies to guide its future evolution into a vibrant mixed use, main street and residential destination. The project involved the integration of the retail, commercial, civic and recreational uses and the reinstatement of main street principles. A carefully managed program of public consultation has resulted in strong community support for the vision for the area.
